'Wild American Mustangs'
I've learned so much in the past few years about animals. One thing that truly surprised me was learning that there still are herds of wild horses in many locations around the world, including the American Mid-West. Sadly these beautiful animals are being wiped out for a variety of reasons. For this calendar that benefits Hillside Animal Sanctuary, I chose to illustrate the quintessential American wild horse, the Mustang. Wildness matters. On the planet, and in our hearts.

Harriet also very kindly did the lovely front cover of our calendar.
"I wanted to create a cover that would encompass the idea of twelve artists from around the globe united in their love and compassion for animals and to symbolize the creativity, the care and the vision that each individual put into their respective pieces".
